SimplePTT USA Unlimited Data SIM Card Fair Use Policy

Introduction:
SimplePTT USA provides unlimited data access via cellular SIM cards exclusively for use with push-to-talk (PTT) applications, ham radio communication apps, and related HAM radio software on Android and iOS devices. To ensure optimal network performance and reliability for all customers, this Fair Use Policy (FUP) outlines acceptable usage, prohibited activities, and consequences for policy violations.

Acceptable Use:
The SimplePTT USA SIM data service is designed for:

  • Push-to-talk (PTT) applications (e.g., Zello, RealPTT, SimplePTT, GlobalPTT, etc.).

  • Licensed HAM radio communication apps and software.

  • Low-data HAM radio-related utilities and tools.

This service is not intended for general internet browsing, video streaming, or high-bandwidth activities.

Network Performance:

  • Minimum Speed Guarantee: Data speeds will not drop below 175 kbps at any time, though speeds may exceed this based on network conditions.

  • Latency: Average latency ranges between 20–50 milliseconds, depending on cellular coverage, signal strength, and environmental factors.

  • Service Providers: SimplePTT USA utilizes AT&T and US Cellular networks. Speeds, latency, and connectivity are subject to these carriers’ coverage, terrain, weather, and network congestion.

 

Prohibited Activities:
The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in warnings, throttling, or service termination:

  • Video/Music Streaming: Including YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music, or similar services.

  • High-Bandwidth Applications:

    • Video calls (e.g., FaceTime, Zoom).

    • Social media platforms with heavy data usage (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).

    • Software updates, large file downloads, or cloud backups.

    • Sending/receiving videos via messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp, iMessage).

  • IoT/Data-Heavy Devices: Outdoor video cameras, smart home devices, or any non-PTT/HAM radio equipment.

 

Abuse Consequences:

  • First Violation: A warning and temporary throttling may occur.

  • Repeat Violations: Service suspension or permanent termination.

  • SimplePTT USA reserves the right to monitor usage patterns and enforce this policy without prior notice.

SimplePTT USA does not guarantee cellular coverage availability, quality, or reliability. Customers must verify coverage in their area using AT&T and US Cellular’s official coverage maps prior to purchase. Service disruptions due to carrier limitations are not the responsibility of SimplePTT USA.

This Fair Use Policy may be revised periodically. Customers will be notified via email or account portal of any changes. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of updated terms.
